Trouble removing Figma designs from Jira ticket

Hey everyone! I’m struggling with a problem in Jira. I’m trying to remove Figma designs from a ticket, but it’s not working properly. When I unlink a design, Jira tells me it’s been successful. But here’s the weird part: after I refresh the page, the designs pop up again like they were never unlinked!

It’s really frustrating, and I’m not sure what’s causing this. Has anyone else run into this issue before? I’ve tried unlinking multiple times, but the result is always the same.

I’m wondering if there’s a bug in the system or if I’m missing a step somewhere. Any ideas on how to fix this or where I should look for a solution? I’d really appreciate any help or advice you can offer. Thanks in advance!

I’ve dealt with this Jira-Figma unlinking issue before. It’s often caused by caching problems or integration glitches. One effective solution I found was to use the ‘Force Refresh’ option in Jira (usually Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R on Mac). This clears the page cache more thoroughly than a standard refresh.

If that doesn’t work, try accessing the ticket from a different browser or device. Sometimes the problem is browser-specific. Also, double-check that you have the necessary permissions to modify attachments in that particular Jira project.

As a last resort, you might need to contact your Jira admin. There could be a configuration issue with the Figma integration that needs addressing at a system level. They can check the logs for any error messages related to the Figma plugin or attachment handling.

ive had this problem too! super annoying. try clearing your browser cache and cookies, sometimes that fixes weird jira issues. if that doesn’t work, maybe check if theres a figma plugin causing trouble? good luck man, hope u figure it out!

I’ve encountered this frustrating issue before. One solution that worked for me was to log out of Jira completely, then log back in. Sometimes the system needs a full reset to properly register changes.

If that doesn’t do the trick, it might be worth checking your Jira permissions. Occasionally, there can be conflicts between user roles and project settings that prevent certain actions from sticking.

As a last resort, I’d recommend reaching out to your Jira admin. They might need to investigate if there’s a deeper integration problem between Jira and Figma. In my experience, these cross-platform issues can sometimes require backend tweaks that aren’t accessible to regular users.

Keep us posted on what works. These syncing problems can be a real headache!
