Twitch advertisements appearing despite ad blockers

Hello everyone,

I’m having trouble with Twitch showing ads even though I have multiple ad blocking tools running. For the past few months, my setup worked perfectly and I didn’t see any advertisements on the platform. However, since yesterday morning, ads started appearing again during streams.

My current setup includes Brave browser with its default ad blocking feature, uBlock Origin extension, and Tampermonkey with a custom script designed for Twitch. All of these were working great until recently.

Does anyone know if Twitch updated their ad delivery system? Are there any new methods or updated scripts that work better against their latest changes? I’d appreciate any suggestions or solutions that have worked for you recently.

Same thing happened to me around then too. Fixed it by wiping all Twitch browser data and doing a fresh uBlock Origin install. Then I manually updated the filter lists - go into uBlock settings and force refresh everything, especially the streaming ones. Twitch changed something with their ad system so you need the latest filters. Had to turn off hardware acceleration in Brave while reinstalling (turned it back on after). Whole thing took maybe 10 minutes and I haven’t seen any ads break through for a week now.
