Twitch restricting account creation for users from Israel - need help accessing platform

Having trouble creating new Twitch accounts from Israel

I’m trying to set up a new Twitch account but keep running into issues. It seems like the platform is preventing new registrations from Israeli IP addresses. I’ve tested this multiple times and the same problem keeps happening.

Has anyone else from this region experienced similar problems when trying to join Twitch? I’m wondering if this is a temporary technical issue or if there are some regional restrictions in place that I’m not aware of.

I’ve tried using different browsers and clearing my cache but nothing seems to work. The registration process just gets stuck or shows error messages without any clear explanation.

Does anyone know of any workarounds or solutions for this issue? I really want to start streaming and engaging with the Twitch community but can’t even get past the signup process.

weird, i never heard of this happening in israel specifically. maybe try using a friend’s wifi or going to a cafe with different internet? sometimes twitch just blocks certain ip ranges by mistake and it has nothing to do with the country itself.

I experienced something similar when relocating to a new area last year. The registration kept failing despite multiple attempts from different devices. After some research, I discovered that Twitch sometimes blocks entire IP blocks when they detect suspicious activity patterns, which can affect legitimate users in those ranges. What eventually worked for me was creating the account using a public library’s internet connection. Libraries typically have clean IP addresses that streaming platforms trust. Additionally, I made sure to use a completely fresh email address that had never been associated with any Twitch attempts before. The process went through immediately once I tried from the library. You might also want to disable any browser extensions or ad blockers during registration as these can sometimes interfere with the signup process.

I encountered this exact issue about six months ago when trying to help a friend set up their streaming account. The problem appears to be related to Twitch’s automated fraud detection system rather than an official regional restriction. What worked in our case was waiting 24-48 hours between registration attempts and using a completely different email provider - switching from Gmail to Outlook made the difference. Also try registering during different hours of the day as their systems seem less strict during off-peak times. If you continue having problems, contacting Twitch support directly with proof of your location and identity usually resolves these false positives within a few days.

sounds like a bummer! i also had problems with twitch from my country, but using a vpn helped me a lot. try connectin to a different location, should do the trick!

This happened to me twice last year and it turned out to be related to my internet service provider’s IP range being flagged by Twitch’s security systems. The issue resolved itself after I contacted my ISP and explained the situation - they were able to confirm that other customers had similar problems with various streaming platforms. In the meantime, I managed to create the account by using my mobile data connection instead of my home wifi. The mobile network had a different IP range that wasn’t flagged. It took about a week for the home connection issue to be sorted out completely, but the mobile workaround got me streaming right away. Worth checking if you have the same problem with your specific ISP before trying more complex solutions.
