I’m curious about different ways people make money working with HubSpot. What kind of services can you provide to businesses as an independent contractor? I’m thinking about getting started but want to know more about the learning process and potential earnings.
For those already doing this work, how did you begin your journey? Was it difficult to pick up the skills needed? I’m wondering how much time I should expect to invest before I can start taking on real projects.
Also interested in hearing about income potential. Obviously it probably varies a lot, but any rough ideas about what someone might expect to earn would be helpful. Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Started with HubSpot three years ago after getting laid off from marketing. Took about two months of evening study to get certified - helped that I already knew basic CRM stuff. Most of my income comes from HubSpot setups and managing accounts for small-medium businesses. Setup projects run $2,500-$8,000 depending on how complex they are. Monthly retainers bring in $800-$2,500 per client. I’ve got six regular clients plus random project work. Learning curve wasn’t bad since HubSpot Academy has solid free training. Game changer was practicing on my own portal for months before pitching clients. Start with their free tier and mess around with workflows and reports until you can confidently explain what the platform does to business owners.
