I have a MacBook Air M2 which usually handles tasks without any issues. However, I’ve noticed a significant difference with Airtable. The version I access through my web browser is incredibly fast, and everything operates smoothly when I manage my databases. In contrast, the Mac desktop application is much slower. Loading tables takes a long time, switching views is not smooth at all, and at times, the app even freezes for a few seconds. Has anyone else run into this performance issue? I really thought that the native app would be quicker than the web version. Do I need to adjust some settings or is this just how it is? I would appreciate any tips to improve the performance of the Mac app.
totally feel ya! the web one works better for me as well. maybe clear your browser’s cache or reinstall the desktop app? that usually helps with slowness.
