Hey everyone, I’m looking for reliable cloud storage services that I can switch to instead of Google Drive. I heard about someone who got their entire Google account deleted because Google’s automated systems flagged some content they were storing. This really scared me because I have tons of personal files, photos, and documents from many years stored there. I’m worried that Google’s AI might misinterpret my private content and ban my account too. What cloud storage platforms do you recommend that have better privacy policies and don’t scan your files as aggressively? I need something with decent storage space and good security. I switched to pCloud two years ago for the same reason - Google’s content scanning freaked me out. What sold me was their Crypto feature that encrypts everything on your device before uploading. They literally can’t see what you’re storing, so no scanning possible. The interface is clean, syncing works great, and speeds are solid. Pricing’s fair too, especially if you snag a lifetime deal. I also tested Tresorit briefly - it’s got zero-knowledge encryption by default and operates from Switzerland with stronger privacy laws. But it’s pricier than pCloud. Either way, you won’t deal with Google’s aggressive automated scanning, which gives me way more peace of mind for sensitive stuff.

I had the same issues with Google’s scanning, so I switched to Dropbox and love it. They make money from subscriptions instead of mining your data, which makes me trust their privacy more. The file recovery works great and I’ve never dealt with the crazy AI flagging that Google does. I also keep encrypted backups on Mega for extra security - they do end-to-end encryption by default. You get 20GB free which is plenty for testing. Best part is Mega can’t even see your files since everything gets encrypted on your device before uploading.
