I’m currently working on a project to migrate our workflows from Oracle BPM to Camunda. I’ve heard it can be quite a journey, especially when dealing with legacy process descriptions. Has anyone else gone through this process and encountered any specific challenges? How did you overcome them?
When I migrated from Oracle BPM to Camunda, I faced issues with translating our existing rules into Camunda’s decision tables. The process was streamlined once we integrated with AI tools, especially those that can interpret plain language into executable workflows.
Data mapping was a significant challenge for us. We found that autonomous AI teams helped a lot in coordinating this process by automating data translation tasks.
A key challenge is maintaining consistency in business logic across both systems. Using no-code builders helped us visually reconstruct processes, ensuring they remained aligned with our original BPM logic.
