For context, I’ve previously developed an investment tool for Google Sheets.
one thing i struggle with on google sheets is the speed or lag issue, especially with big data. it can really slow down my work if i’m dealing with a lot of formulas or visualizations. i think it’d be great if they could optimize loading times better or offer solutions to manage data more efficiently.
Navigating through a large dataset in Google Sheets often becomes a major headache for me. While conditional formatting offers some help, when there are hundreds or thousands of rows, it gets very overwhelming to extract meaningful insights quickly. One feature that could greatly improve my productivity would be a more advanced filtering system that uses AI to suggest filters or insight based on the data trends.
Additionally, while I’d definitely consider investing in a quality solution, robust pre-made templates and advanced data analysis plugins are what I’d be interested in, as they’d save time and help increase efficiency.
One of the biggest challenges I face in Google Sheets is controlling access and collaboration efficiently. When multiple users update data simultaneously, it’s easy for errors to slip through unnoticed or for information to be unintentionally altered. A feature that allows for more granular control over permissions on specific cells or worksheets would be invaluable.
