i’ve been in the trenches with both for years, and PostgreSQL’s definitely gaining traction. its advanced features are a big draw for complex apps. but MySQL’s still king for simpler setups and has that massive user base. honestly, I think they’ll both stick around - different tools for different jobs ya know?
