Hey everyone!
I’m trying to refresh my memory about Zapier app requirements. I worked with it a while back, and I have this nagging feeling that there was a rule about the minimum number of triggers and actions needed to publish an app on their directory.
I’ve been searching for some official info on this, but I’m coming up empty-handed. Maybe I’m just misremembering, or the info isn’t easily accessible anymore.
Can anyone here shed some light on this? What’s the current standard for the least number of triggers and actions a Zapier app needs to have before it can go live? Any insights would be super helpful!
From my experience working with Zapier, there isn’t a strict minimum requirement for triggers and actions. However, to create a useful app, you’ll want at least one of each. The key is functionality rather than quantity.
When I developed my app, I focused on implementing one solid trigger and one robust action to start. This allowed me to get the app published relatively quickly. After launch, I gathered user feedback and gradually added more triggers and actions based on demand.
Zapier’s review process seemed more concerned with the quality and reliability of the integrations rather than hitting a specific number. They were particularly interested in how well the app solved real user problems.
If you’re looking to make your app stand out, consider unique use cases or automations that aren’t already well-covered in the Zapier ecosystem. That approach served me well in getting approved and gaining traction with users.
As someone who’s developed a few Zapier apps, I can share my experience on this. While there’s no hard and fast rule about the minimum number of triggers and actions, Zapier generally prefers apps with at least one trigger and one action. This ensures basic functionality and usefulness for users.
However, I’ve found that apps with more diverse options tend to perform better and get approved faster. In my last project, we aimed for at least 2-3 triggers and 2-3 actions, which seemed to hit a sweet spot. It allowed for more versatility without overwhelming us during development.
Keep in mind that quality matters more than quantity. Well-implemented, reliable triggers and actions that solve real user needs are far more valuable than a large number of mediocre ones. If you’re unsure, I’d recommend starting with your core functionality and then expanding based on user feedback post-launch.
hey mate, from wot i kno there’s no hard rule bout minimum triggers n actions. but u wanna aim for at least 1 of each to make it useful. i published mine with just 2 triggers n 1 action, worked fine. focus on makin em solid n solving real problems. zapier cares more bout quality than quantity, ya know?
