Hi everyone! I keep seeing people on skincare TikTok dropping hints about how some popular brand actually makes the skincare products that get sold under Trader Joe’s private label. People seem to know which brand it is but nobody wants to say the name outright. Has anyone figured out which company is behind TJ’s skincare line? I’m really curious because if it’s true then we might be getting expensive products for way cheaper prices. Would love to know if anyone has the inside scoop on this!

Trader Joe’s uses different contract manufacturers for different products. For skincare, they probably work with several facilities depending on what they’re making.
I’ve worked with contract manufacturers before - even if you figure out who makes what, the formulations are usually different. So if Brand X makes both their expensive line and TJ’s version, you’re not getting the same exact product for cheaper.
TJ’s does have decent skincare and the prices beat specialty brands. But don’t waste time trying to crack which big brand supposedly makes their stuff.
If their products work for your skin, that’s all that matters. The whole manufacturing detective thing is pointless.
