Which figma releases would you love to see happen someday?

I keep thinking about anime characters that would make amazing figmas even if they probably won’t happen.

For Senran Kagura, the series isn’t really active anymore so getting figures is pretty unlikely. But if I could pick anyone from that series, Daidōji would be my top choice without question.

With Dragon Maid, they already made some nendoroid figures and the show is still popular. I think there’s a real chance we might see Tohru get the figma treatment eventually. Having both Tohru and Kobayashi would be incredible together.

RWBY came so close to being perfect for collectors. We got some of the main characters but then everything with Rooster Teeth happened and we never got Blake or Yang. Getting the complete Team RWBY was actually what got me interested in figmas in the first place.

What about you guys? Any dream figmas you’re hoping for?

honestly surprised we haven’t gotten a jojo’s bizarre adventure figma yet considering how iconic the poses are. josuke or giorno would be perfect with all those dramatic stances. also really want a mob psycho 100 mob figma - the psychic effects would look amazing as accessories and the show was hugely popular

spy x family feels like such an obvious choice that im shocked we dont have anya yet. the series is massive and her expressions would be perfect for multiple faceplates. loid and yor would also work great but anya seems like the most marketable

Code Geass still baffles me that we never got proper figma releases. Lelouch would have been perfect with his dramatic cape poses and the chess piece accessories practically write themselves. The series has lasting popularity but somehow got overlooked during the figma boom years. Fate/stay night is another frustrating case - we got some amazing scale figures but the main route characters never received figma treatment. Saber would have sold incredibly well and Rin has enough magic poses to justify multiple face plates. Given how successful the Fate franchise became, missing that window feels like a significant oversight. What bothers me most is when companies announce prototypes at conventions and then nothing comes of it. I remember seeing early concepts for certain series that generated huge buzz, only to vanish completely. Sometimes I wonder if licensing costs or production complexity kill projects before they reach consumers, especially for older properties where rights might be complicated.

Been collecting for about six years now and Violet Evergarden remains at the top of my personal wishlist. The character design would translate beautifully to figma with her intricate military uniform and mechanical arms. KyoAni’s attention to detail would make for stunning figure reference material, and there’s definitely enough articulation potential with her typewriter and various poses from the series. Another one that keeps bugging me is Overlord - specifically Ainz Ooal Gown. The series has had decent figure coverage but nothing in figma format, which seems like a missed opportunity given how well his robes and staff would work with figma’s joint system. The magic effects alone would make for incredible accessories. What really gets me is when series get announced and then just disappear into development limbo. I’ve been burned too many times getting excited about prototypes that never see production.

Trigun Stampede has been on my wishlist since the new anime dropped. The character designs are perfect for figma treatment and Vash would have so many posing opportunities with his coat and weapons. Orange Rouge did such good work with the older Trigun figures that a modern Vash figma seems like it should be inevitable, but we’re still waiting. Another series I’d love to see is Chainsaw Man. Denji would translate incredibly well to figma format, especially with interchangeable chainsaw parts. The popularity is definitely there after the anime, so maybe there’s hope. Power would also be fantastic but I’d settle for just getting Denji at this point. It’s frustrating how some obvious choices never materialize while other more obscure series get multiple releases. Sometimes it feels like the licensing politics matter more than actual demand from collectors.

I have to put this out here, but I would say Sword Art Online, even though the series was hated, I did love the series with my heart, I do not care. I think the Alicization character line should’ve continue starting with Kirito (WoU ver.) where he gets the same black outfit from long ago, but he needs to have updated articulated joints instead of the old Kirito joints along with the Night Sky Sword and Blue Rose Sword. Then we need the Goddesses like Stacia Asuna, Solus Sinon and Terriaria Leafa (hope I spell it right), in the character line because those three were the hype in the War of Underworld series. A third party or Figma or whoever does the making should have a look at that.

My Hero Academia: Definitely Midnight and Mt. Lady and Lady Nagant, those characters are popular in the series and we haven’t gotten an articulated figure from them AT ALL. No Revoltech, no Figuarts, no Figma, no nothing that involves articulated figures. A third party that does needs to get in here and fix that.

Persona 3 Reload: Definitely the S.E.E.S team. They managed to do Makoto, Aigis, Labrys, but not the rest of the team?! They already did Persona 5 Royal team as a whole (except Sophie and Zenkichi from Strikers), but never finished 3 and 4?! Those two games are popular now! Like come on! A third party Figma or Revoltech company should get involved in this!

Date A Live: I’m sorry, but this is DEFINITELY deserving, but the articulation figure industry generally managed to have Tohka, Kurumi as a Figma and Origami (AST ver.) from a different company, and you haven’t even finished the figures for the rest?! Come on! Like it may not be too popular but the series was good! Like come on! Where’s Shido, or Inverse Tohka, or the characters from season 2-5?! Like Origami in Metatron, or Yoshino, or Mukuro and her Inverse version as well! Hell, Mio Takamiya for sakes! The White Queen?! Hello?! Where’s Nia Honjou or Miku?! Like come on! Or Mana! Or Kurumi in her new outfit when she has Raziel now?! Like there’s so many characters and forms you can do! It’s not that hard! Third party Figma or Revoltech, you need to rise!

Genshin: Raiden Shogun, the Archons and every character you think is popular! Like come on!! It’s been popular enough, don’t you think Mona is not enough for the Genshin line?! Come on!

The Legend of Heroes Trails series: Now, I actually want Trails to have an articulated figure line. Like for instance, I actually want Rean Schwarzer (Beyond the Horizon ver.), then Rixia Mao (Beyond the Horizon ver.), then Van Arkride and every character you could make like Lloyd Bannings or Shizuna Rem Misurugi.. like come on! Give the Trails series more time to shine or have somebody sell a custom figure of it, something! Like they can’t be statues! We need this for the Trails series! What if they wish for a Trails stop motion like Rean vs Shizuna?! That’s something that we love to see or any of the cases may be!
