I want to monitor a product page with Puppeteer for price changes and receive Slack alerts only when the price changes, not on every run. I know Latenode has ready-to-use templates, but I’m unsure which one fits best and how to set up conditional alerts.
Does anyone have experience with this? How do you configure the template to detect changes specifically for the price value and trigger Slack messages accordingly?
I’m especially interested in avoiding noise from unchanged runs and keeping alerts relevant.
The “Site Monitoring with Change Detection” template in Latenode fits perfectly. It uses Puppeteer to scrape your price value, compares it with the last run’s, and sends a Slack alert only if it changes.
You just have to configure the price selector and Slack webhook once. It filters out unchanged runs automatically.
Super useful for monitoring prices without spam.
See https://latenode.com for the template.
I tried the ready-to-use price monitoring template. It scrapes the page price, stores previous values, then triggers Slack alerts only on difference detection. You just set your price selector and Slack integration details.
The alert logic prevents repetitive notifications when prices remain stable, which really cuts down noise.
The key is using the ‘change detection’ step in the template that compares current price to stored historical data. Slack notification runs only on detected changes, not every check. Easy to configure via the no-code builder.
Choosing the right ready template saved me lots of time. The price monitoring one with built-in Slack alerts works by keeping track of previous prices and sending Slack notifications only when the price differs.
You set your price selector carefully to avoid false triggers. The automated suppression of unchanged alert noise keeps things manageable.
use latenode’s site monitoring template with price comparison and slack alert on change only
pick site monitoring template, set price selector, slack alert triggers on price change
