Went through this same thing 18 months ago when my Shopify store hit 150 orders weekly. Ended up with FBA for main products since I was already selling on Amazon anyway. Switched to ShipBob 8 months ago - had the exact same problems you’re dealing with. Shopify integration was dead simple, maybe 30 minutes and orders just started flowing automatically. Not the cheapest option but holy crap, the time I’ve saved is insane. What hooked me was their warehouse network - customers get way faster shipping and I don’t pay extra for expedited stuff. Dashboard shows real-time inventory and exactly where your products sit in each warehouse. Watch out for storage fees during slow periods though - they pile up fast if you’re sitting on too much stock. Worth it if you’re drowning in orders already. Customer service has been solid when stuff breaks too.
Honestly, just go with FBA if you’re already overwhelmed. Yeah, the fees suck, but the integration’s bulletproof and customers expect Prime speed anyway. I tried 3 different smaller 3PLs last year - they all had issues with Shopify syncing or lost my inventory. FBA just works, even though you lose some profit margins.
