Which WordPress theme are you currently recommending for this year?

Hi everyone! I keep switching between different themes and can’t seem to settle on one. I’m curious about what the community is actually using right now. Are you going with the newer full site editing themes or do you prefer traditional options like GeneratePress or OceanWP? I need something that loads quickly, doesn’t bog down my site, and works well with plugins like WooCommerce and page builders. What theme have you found most reliable recently and what made you choose it over others?

honestly been using generatepress for like 2 years now and its rock solid. tried switching to some of the newer FSE themes but they felt bloated compared to GP’s lightweight approach. loads super fast and never had any conflicts with my plugins. the hooks system is really powerfull once you get used to it too.

After years of jumping between themes, I finally settled on Kadence Theme about 8 months ago and haven’t looked back. The performance is excellent - my site loads consistently under 2 seconds even with WooCommerce running. What sold me was the built-in customization options that eliminate the need for additional plugins. The header builder alone saved me from installing separate header plugins I used to rely on. I’ve tested it extensively with Elementor and WooCommerce, and compatibility has been flawless. The developers are also very responsive with updates, which gives me confidence for long-term use. Previously I was using Astra but found myself constantly needing the pro version for basic features, whereas Kadence gives you more functionality in the free version.

I’ve been running Blocksy for the past year and its become my go-to recommendation. What really impressed me was how well it handles both traditional WordPress setups and the newer block editing features without forcing you into one approach. The theme manages to stay lightweight while offering solid customization options that actually work reliably. I was skeptical about switching from more established themes but Blocksy has proven stable across multiple client sites. The code quality seems excellent and I haven’t encountered the random breaking issues that plagued some other themes I’ve used. For WooCommerce specifically, the integration feels natural rather than like an afterthought. The support team has been responsive the few times I needed help, which matters when you’re working on client projects with deadlines.
