I have noticed that Google Calendar used to automatically display the start dates for both Black History Month and Pride Month, but they no longer appear. Has anyone else faced this problem or knows why this might have happened?
Did Google remove these important dates from their default calendar settings? I relied on these automatic notifications to keep track of significant cultural months. Is there a way to bring them back, or do I need to add them manually now?
If anyone has found a solution or alternative way to ensure these key dates show up in their calendar, I would be grateful for your advice on restoring this feature.
Same thing happened to me last year - a number of observance dates vanished without warning. Google updated their calendar categories, which shuffled these events around. Check your calendar settings and look for ‘Holidays and observances’ or ‘Cultural events’ as they may have been moved there. I had to manually re-enable certain observance categories after an update reset my preferences. Double-check your country/region settings too, as they impact which cultural observances appear automatically. If all else fails, consider creating a separate calendar for these dates to avoid them disappearing with future updates.
yeah, that makes no sense. mine’s good too. maybe it’s location? try looking in the settings for ‘holidays’ or ‘events’. sometimes google messes up stuff and u gotta turn them back on in the add calendars section.
