I’ve been playing around with these new AI assistants that can think on their feet, scour the web, and manage tasks for me. It makes me wonder if we will eventually bypass standard apps altogether. Instead of juggling multiple apps, what if you just instructed your AI to handle everything online?
I’m really interested in opinions on this. Do you think AI assistants might soon take over the functionality of our regular apps, or will traditional apps continue to have their place in our digital lives?
I work in UX design and have been closely following AI developments. While AI assistants are impressive, I don’t see them fully replacing traditional apps in the near future. Apps offer tailored interfaces and functionality that many users prefer for specific tasks. AI may struggle to replicate the seamless experience of a well-designed app.
That said, I do think AI will significantly augment and enhance apps moving forward. We’ll likely see increased AI integration within apps to provide smarter recommendations, automate tedious tasks, and offer more natural language interactions. The most successful products will probably blend traditional app design with AI capabilities to create powerful hybrid experiences.
Ultimately, I expect we’ll use a mix of standalone apps and AI assistants, with each playing to their strengths. The digital landscape will evolve, but apps aren’t disappearing anytime soon.
nah, AI won’t make apps obsolete anytime soon. apps are too convenient and specialized for specific tasks. plus, lots of peeps prefer tapping buttons over talking to a robot. AI might make apps smarter tho, like adding voice commands or personalized suggestions. we’ll prob end up using both AI assistants and regular apps for different things.
