Will artificial intelligence impact Figma's market position negatively?

I’ve been considering investing in Figma and noticed that Adobe’s stock has been struggling recently because of AI worries. This made me think about whether Figma might face similar challenges.

AI seems to be disrupting many industries right now including design, programming, and creative work. But I’m wondering how serious this threat actually is for design platforms like Figma. Can AI tools really replace what Figma offers or is the company in a good spot to embrace these changes and maybe even grow from them?

I’m planning to buy some shares but want to hear what others think about this situation first. Anyone have thoughts on how AI might affect Figma’s future?

Figma’s actually got some real advantages over traditional design software for AI integration. Being web-based and collaborative means they can add AI features without all the legacy mess Adobe’s dealing with in their desktop apps. I’ve used Figma for three years - what makes it valuable isn’t just the design tools, it’s the whole workflow: version control, real-time collaboration, developer handoff, component systems. AI can’t easily replicate that stuff like it can basic design creation. I think Figma’s real opportunity is becoming the place where designers work with AI tools instead of getting replaced by them. Their recent plugin and API work shows they’re heading that direction. Adobe’s problems seem more about their bloated product lineup and refusing to adapt than AI being some existential threat to design platforms.
