Hey everyone! I’m super excited to share some awesome news for WoW players and developers. Blizzard has finally listened to our requests and added new APIs for Item Appearance and Transmog Collection in World of Warcraft!

As a longtime WoW player and someone who’s dabbled in addon development, I’m thrilled about these new APIs. They’re going to be a game-changer for the transmog community.
From my experience, one of the biggest frustrations has been the lack of proper tools to manage and plan transmog sets across multiple characters. With these APIs, we might finally see addons that can sync our entire account’s appearance collection, making it easier to plan outfits using items from alts.
I’ve already started tinkering with the APIs, and the possibilities are exciting. Imagine an addon that suggests transmog sets based on your playstyle or the content you’re running. Or one that integrates with WoWhead to show you how to obtain missing pieces for a set you’re working on.

thats awesome news! i’ve been waiting for this forever. can’t wait to see what cool addons come out of it. maybe we’ll finally get that perfect transmog matcher everyone’s been asking for. wonder how long itll take for devs to start using these new apis tho
