Hey everyone! I’ve been hooked on a K-pop card game in Discord lately. It got me thinking about making something similar but with a pro-wrestling twist.
I’m imagining a game that covers the whole wrestling world. We’d have cards for WWE stars, New Japan wrestlers, and even fictional characters from anime and games. How cool would that be?
Here’s what I’m picturing:
- Digital cards for wrestlers
- Different versions of each wrestler from various points in their career
- Special edition cards with unique effects
- Players can collect, trade, and maybe battle with their cards
- A system for leveling up wrestlers and growing your collection
- An open market for trading
The big thing for me is making the cards look awesome. I want each one to be visually stunning.
What do you guys think? Would you be into a wrestling card game like this on Discord? Any ideas to make it even better?
As a longtime wrestling fan and Discord user, I think this idea has tons of potential! I’ve actually been part of a few similar card games, and the wrestling theme could work brilliantly.
One thing I’d suggest is incorporating different match types into the gameplay. Maybe certain cards have advantages in cage matches or tag team bouts. You could even have special cards for managers or referees that add unique twists.
For the visuals, it’d be awesome to have dynamic card art that changes based on a wrestler’s current storyline or championship status. Imagine an Undertaker card that shifts from his American Badass look to the classic Deadman as it levels up.
Have you considered adding a fantasy booking element? Players could use their cards to create dream matches or even book entire pay-per-views. That could add a whole new strategic layer to collecting and trading.
Just some thoughts from someone who’d definitely be interested in playing. Keep us posted on your progress!
Your wrestling card game concept sounds intriguing. As someone who’s dabbled in both collectible card games and pro wrestling fandom, I can see the appeal. The inclusion of wrestlers from various promotions and eras could create a rich, diverse card pool. One aspect to consider is balancing the power levels between real and fictional characters to maintain competitive gameplay.
For the trading system, you might want to implement a rarity scale and limit the number of certain cards in circulation. This could help create a dynamic economy within the game. Additionally, incorporating signature moves or finishers as special abilities for each wrestler card could add an extra layer of strategy to matches.
Have you thought about how you’ll handle licensing for real wrestlers? That could be a significant hurdle to overcome. Alternatively, you could start with original characters or parodies to test the game mechanics before pursuing official partnerships. Whatever route you choose, focus on solid gameplay fundamentals to keep players engaged long-term.
sounds sick! i’d be all over that game. maybe add some ppv event cards that boost certain wrestlers? like a wrestlemania card making undertaker unbeatable lol. you could do mini-games for promos or backstage segments too. just dont make it too grindy or p2w, ya know? keep us updated!
