I’m having trouble using Zapier tools in Claude. Even though I’ve set up the connection and it looks good, I keep getting an error saying the tool can’t be found.
I’ve done a few things to try to fix it:
Double-checked all my Zaps in Zapier (they work fine there)
Set up the Zapier connection in Claude again
Tried disconnecting and reconnecting
But no matter what I do, when I try to use things like Airtable or Google Sheets commands, Claude just says it can’t find the tool.
Has anyone else run into this problem? It’s like Claude can see Zapier but can’t actually use any of the tools. I’m not sure what else to try at this point.
Any ideas on how to get this working would be super helpful!
I’ve encountered this issue before, and it can be quite maddening. One thing that worked for me was checking my Zapier API key in Claude. Sometimes the key can expire or become invalid without warning. Go to your Claude settings and look for the Zapier integration section. Try generating a new API key and updating it there.
Another potential fix is to ensure you’re using the correct Zapier workspace in Claude. If you have multiple workspaces, it’s easy to accidentally connect to the wrong one. Double-check that the workspace linked in Claude matches the one where your Zaps are set up.
If those don’t work, you might want to test creating a simple new Zap specifically for troubleshooting with Claude. Sometimes older Zaps can have compatibility issues that aren’t immediately apparent. A fresh Zap could help isolate whether the problem is with specific Zaps or the connection itself.
Lastly, don’t hesitate to contact Claude support if these steps don’t resolve the issue. They might be aware of known bugs or have additional troubleshooting steps specific to your account setup.
hey alexr1990, that sounds frustrating! have u tried using a different browser? sometimes switching from chrome to firefox (or vice versa) can fix weird connection issues. also, double check ur zapier account is still active - they occasionally deactivate inactive ones. if nothing else works, maybe try deleting the connection completely and setting it up from scratch?
I recently faced a similar issue with Claude not recognizing the Zapier tools. A method that eventually worked for me was clearing the browser cache and cookies, followed by logging out and back into both Claude and Zapier. This seems to reset any lingering authentication issues that might be causing the error. I also recommend verifying you are using the latest version of Claude, as updates sometimes change how integrations function. If these steps do not resolve the problem, consider reaching out to Claude’s support for more targeted assistance with the integration error.
